This was also the fittest time of my life!! Milestones in my training: SOC - 7:59 mins, 2.4 km - 8:20 mins, CPFT - 42 mins (after 3 attempts. It's tough man!!) School of Physical Training Instructor Remembered killing time by playing lots and lots of badminton and yes, lots of running!!! BMTC School Training Physical Branch 2 Posted to Pulau Tekong BMTC School 2 Physical Training Branch. Was put in charge of IPPT results of Perm Staff and primarily overseeing Pegasus "P" Coy and Raven "R" Coy. Stayed in Bunk 2-16 of the Instructor's bunk near Raven Coy. Besides handling the IPPT results, Tekong was where I also trained recruits and whipped them into shape. Some would ultimately become my fellow PTIs as I later found out. Invented "Super-Legs", "Super Push-ups" and "Pizza Hut". Most used phrase, "Whole lot KNOCK IT DOWN!!" Most feared by recruits was the short "two-quick-whistle blows"...which means the same thing. Encountered some recruits with some of the funniest medical conditions. For example: Excuse sunlight, Excuse water parades, Excuse No.4, etc...I think these people don't need to book out already!! Haha... Also saw some recruits perform some interesting things. Have you ever seen a platoon of recruits wearing the swimming trunks with the labels outside?? A serious case of monkey see, monkey do. Famous quotes: PTI Marcus: "Clapping game in position READY! 100 counts of 4!! Argue some more...200 counts of 4...ready...PHEET!!" ...199-two-three-four...200-two-three... "SAMULA!!! Somebody don't want to clap their hands!! Want to play punk right?? Testing me right or not??" 2 SIR Roving Team And I thought BMTC was fun!! The recruits here were extremely wonderful. Here is where respect is really earned and given. Over there, the PTIs are king!! Famous quotes: Maj Teo (Training officer aka S3),after a downpour: "PTI, if got puddle on the road can conduct run or not?? Erm, nevermind..I think I go and check the TSR and TSD first...you carry conducting your warm-up first for the battalion." Logistic Officer aka S4, after being asked for a can of WD40 to oil the gym machine: "Don't ask me for the sky, give me solution." PTI Marcus: "You all better learn how to answer your superiors. You are all in army now, I don't want to hear "Huh?", "What?" or "Where?"..I only want to hear "Yes PTI", "No PTI" or "Yes Sir" "No Sir"..The next time I hear "Huh?" you all will run to Charlie company and come back. Do I make myself CLEAR??!!" (Yup, you guessed it..the recruits were made to run to Charlie company immediately after my question...) 2 PDF HQ What else is there to say??
